The global pandemic of COVID-19, commonly known as Coronavirus, is a fast-changing situation for health care services and an uncertain time for all. Protection of the people in our care from infection is an important part of high quality care and it also contributes to the safety of the environment for staff and the wider community. We are required to have appropriate procedures for the control of infection in place.
Insight Specialist Behavioural Service are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring that we keep all of our service users and staff as safe as possible and following recent government advice we are now asking that visitors, including family members, friends and other professionals do not visit any of our sites until further notice. The scientific evidence suggests that limiting and where it is possible remove non essential face to face contact, movement into and within the community and social gatherings will help to keep everyone as safe as possible. We appreciate that it is a particularly difficult time to be apart from members of your family and that this may cause some to worry but we feel that this is the right course of action to take at this time.
We will, of course, consider any exceptions to this temporary policy on a case-by-case basis. This is to ensure that we balance the mental and physical wellbeing of the individual with the potential risk to others being cared for. Please make any requests to visit directly with the relevant site.
In the meantime our staff will do all they can to ensure that life in our services remain as optimal as possible for everyone that we look after.
We would really appreciate your support with these measures. We are of course closely following and complying with the Government guidance, Public Health authorities and all associated guidance to ensure that we keep our service users safe and that our staff are supported to continue to deliver great care.
If you cannot get through to the individual site you need to speak to then please contact Chloe Briggs on 07880703990.
Thank you for your co-operation.
