Would you like to be given the chance to shine? At Insight we operate a fair and open recruitment process that gives you lots of opportunity to demonstrate your skills and personality. We welcome applications from all age groups, and a professional attitude is much more important than formal qualifications.

How to apply

Once you have found a job vacancy at Insight which is right for you, please  telephone Jo or Katie on 01795 424823.

Our recruitment process is straightforward and consists of 4 stages:

Pre-employment screening

Our pre-employment screening process must be completed before we can give you an application pack.
This will be an opportunity for you to tell us more about yourself and to answer some questions based around your work experience and competency for the role. Your suitability for the role will be evaluated against criteria such as tone of voice, enthusiasm and communication skills.

At this process we will also ask you for some identification.

Application

Please ensure that you complete all sections of the application fully and if you are returning it via the postal service that you have paid the correct postage or attached enough stamps.
Once applications are received by our HR team they are then viewed and shortlisted for interview.

First Interview

This is your time to shine. At the interview, you’ll meet with the HR Officer and Registered Home Manager responsible for the home where you’ll be working. You’ll be taken through a competency-based interview which is focused on our values and objectives and how you have demonstrated them in previous roles.

References will be required from you, including at least one professional reference. To speed the process up for you, it’s always advisable to contact your referees in advance to let them know that we will be in touch to obtain an employment reference.

In addition, Insight will undertake and pay for an enhanced DBS check as part of the pre-employment screening process.

Second Interview

If the first interview was successful a second interview will be arranged where you will be invited into the home for which you have applied, and an informal interview will be conducted by one of our service users.

This gives the opportunity to discuss the organisation and service and other matters in more detail. Furthermore, you will get to know some future colleagues, managers, service users and even your future working environment.

Offer of employment

You have impressed us! Now we will make you an offer of employment.

You’ll receive your offer pack by post within 3-5 days.

Employment

We aim to keep in contact with you whilst you are waiting to start. If you have any questions at all, please contact us and we will do our best to answer these and to ensure that your experience is as smooth as possible.

All offers of employment are subject to us receiving two satisfactory references and a satisfactory criminal records check.

You will also be required to complete a three-month probationary period with satisfactory outcomes.
